The chiselled surface is a form of surface finish suitable for raw products, honed, polished or even bush-hammered. Historically made by hand with mallet and chisel, it consists of the engraving of scratches more or less broad, more or less deep, at a distance 8-15 mm, and usually at an inclination of 45°.
