The brushed finishes are obtained using brushes composed of bristles integrated with abrasive grains that, sliding on the slab, make it smooth and compact. This process gives Trachyte a matte texture, slightly wavy, with an orange peel effect, normally used for interior works both for the aesthetic appearance and for its inhibition and stain resistance. The coloring and veining of the stone result irregular. The surface becomes extremely compact and irregular, also pleasant to the touch, also renamed the “silk effect.”
